Inspirational Music Videos (Sabrina)

I'm using this video as one of my references because i like the style of fast straight cuts that would be manageable to do myself. The high and low angles keep you interested in the video and the colour theme of scarlet red throughout the video is eye catching.

This video has a theme of T.V effect like putting the image into a 1950's looking T.V and changing the cut by using a static effect. the video also uses pans and looks as if it's always moving even though the first scene shows a robust man watching T.V.

A2 Coursework Brief (Sabrina)

A promotion package for the release of an album, to include a music promo video
a cover for its release as part of a digipak (CD/DVD package);

a magazine advertisement for the digipak (CD/DVD package).

The exam board require you to create your own identity for your artist or performer.
You can use the title of the track but you must produce a new original branding for the artist or band. This must be constructed to reflect the genre and appeal of the performer.
Therefore if your song is by Beyonce then you cant use the name Beyonce or images of her on your DVD/CD covers or any of your production pieces. You can still use the name of the track.

The Finished Video (Sabrina)

This is our rendition of the first minute of the music video "foundations" by Kate Nash

Problems (Sabrina)

We encountered many problems whilst creating the video but with each we found a way around them. The first problem was lack of all the props in the video like skateboards and empty beer bottles, to solve this we improvised and used empty glasses and put cushions in the place of the skateboards. this gave a close enough similarity to the video.

The biggest problem we had was the lack of time we had together to film and we missed one of the clips in filming. To sove this we left a gap in the clips whilst editing where the missing clip should of been and filmed it later. however, because we filmed the clip in a different lighting and place the last clip looks slightly different to the rest of the video.

Filming /shots (Sabrina)

I copied the mise-en-scene of the video as well and the angle of the shots, these screenshots show the similarities of my shots to the music video. for example whenever there was a over the shoulder shot i would try to fit everything in the fram similarly.
