On Friday 22nd, my partner Emma and I filmed the 'Goth' scene, for this scene in particular we made sure that the mise en scene fitted with the steareotypes of a goth before we started filming we made sure that the lught was slighty darker than the rest of the scene to create the right atmosphere. Before we began filming, we prepared our model for the shot, applying the make up and doing her hair etc. While I put on the make up and did emilies hair, Emma set up the camera to a medium shot so we were able to make the shoot more time effective.
In preparation for this day, we brought in costumes and props we thought would fit with the goth style, we dressed our model wearing sark clothes and using the story board as a reference. Her costume and makeup costisted of dark eye makeup, black lipstick, pale face, straight dark hair, black 'funeral for a friend t-shirt, black skirt (tights) and 'gothic' cross necklace
After we had got the shots we wanted for the medium shot, we decided to record some extra scenes from a different angle. As Emma set up the camera to a close up, we asked her to mime some of the key words in the song to do this we played the song and she mimed the words "Fashion" and "Beep beep" to the music. These shots can be used with a montage of other stylised (hippie, denim, boy, geek, glamerous) clips at the ending when the song fades; if we need.
Overall the shoot was a success gaining the shots we needed for the final video, this was due to prior organisation and the preperation before the shoot. This enabled us to get all the shots we needed quickly with time to get back up and experimental ones.
